Top 5 things to tell;this week1. exhausted. breathless. tests. SPA. assignments. friendship. all in a mess.
2. I have no mood to laugh. but still, i am writing this funny event that happened on tuesday. jasmine was presenting her essay answers in GP lessons. Instead of putting her essay under the visualiser, she put it under the OHP. And the funny thing is both the visualiser and OHP are together. She looked confuse at first; probably thinking why her essay didnt appear on the screen.
3. Notice i have changed some of the things in the blog? good.

Top 5 things to tell; this week1. Yeap, i scored well for recent faculty tests. Mostly As.
2. I explored my motorizr z3 further, and i found out IM and PTT functions are not inside. :( I managed to solve Digital Audio Player(DAP) backlight problem. According to the forum, I need to delete the latest DAP and install an older version. Stupid right? I am degrading my DAP.
3. I stayed back after school with Li ming, xiu jin and yue wen to do the NWSP. We asked Mr Loke to help us plot the graph according to the number of surveyors using some weird terms like ANOVA. He didnt manage to solve. So, we went to look for Ms Ong. She said we dont need to use ANOVA, but use some kind of ... . ok... dont remember the term. But i know, it has something to do with hypothesis testing and sampling distribution chapters.
4. I'm still coughing.
5. I've just read message from Jim.
And this is what he says:
"eH, this is an announcement for this year's chalet, it is decided that the chalet will ... most likely be held on last week of Nov(subjected to changes). Due to some requests, the chalet would be 5day 4 nights, and of i'm getting 2 Rms again it will cost just around $800 for booking the chalet."
This is damn expensive and i know i wont get to enjoy it because they will play their PS and Xbox non-stop in the room. Its not worth it to play game consoles during chalet. Oh i just remember have they added the cost for BBQ?

From The Sunday Times, it seems that people who are eligible for JC are going to poly. And from the article, even those who have 9 to 10 points are going poly. Most importantly, the article is saying that there are lots of benefits going to the 'wonderland', rather than in the 'hell'. It is due to several reasons. The stressful JC life is one reason. Others include: Going towards their goal, cant find subjects that they want which are equivalent etc. I think there is misunderstanding; since they have no experience of JC life. Personally, I think going anywhere has the same consequences.
Let's get started. First, about the stressful life inside JC. Yes. I agree that the life in JC is stressful, so as elsewhere. Stop day-dreaming. Being a 17 years old kid, do you think you still can be in the pram, sucking lollipop? Come on. Everywhere there's stress. Stress of academic, competition, friends, teachers or money. You can escape from the stress now, but can you escape forever? I call them
losers. In addition, you will be stress of the clothing that you will be wearing each day. Do you want to wear the same, old OP t-shirt and a Levi's jeans everyday?
Next, some people say that the subjects in JC are not relevant to what they want to study. The difference between JC and poly is clear cut. JC provides wider variety, while poly focuses on a specific course. Since, a programming person would only study programming and other related subjects, he/she would probably be narrow-minded. So, they might 'filter off' politics or social issues. I don't think it is time to study something specific right now. I rather get the big picture; and go into the course that i have the most potential in. I mean, a secondary 4 guy will not know what is Chemical Engineering; which only gives him faint clue like 'chemicals' or 'good future'. This will partly answer the next point I want to cover.
Some people are going towards their goal or cant find subjects that they want which are equivalent. I congrats them for being forward-looking but... think again. Do you think, at sec 4 standard, choosing a subject that you are interested in is too early? Yes. You may die-die-die-die want it now; but will you regret after finding it too hard or boring when you encounter modules, say Statistics. Woo~.... Even you have successfully graduated, will you stick to the job you had planned earlier. It's something like plastic surgery. At 17 years old, you want your eyes look like Korean superstar. Then the year after, you feel that your nose must look like some Taiwan idol.
In conclusion, I feel there are good or bad points entering JC/poly. Ignore those people who are weighing these factors. Unlike the 42-year-old housewife Mrs Laveen, who thinks that going JC for 'parents to boast' is a factor. So there's no need to list down the factors of each college. You should decide on how prepared you are on either side. In JC, you must be prepared to memorise, do tutorial and assignment or in poly which makes up of presentation, and assignments as well.
Alright, i am not ready to hear comments from people. Should I publish? haha....

Top 5 things to tell this week1. I did badly for chem spa trial and maths test. Not forgetting Chem test and Geog faculty test.
2. Had CCA exhibition just now and... its bad! All the J1 went home. Idiotic. It's their CCA exhibition and all i could see was J2 walking around promoting nothing.
3. Did GP presentation just now. And i forgot to change "our" to "the". And it sounded like "Based on our 1997 survey, 75% of the people...". And the teacher was disgusted. Next time, i'll try to edit copied and pasted texts from the net.
4. Mdm Lee kept thinking I'm Winston, the Indonesian guy. I dont know lar. but i really look different from him; i'm not an Indonesian too. The girls were guessing because Mdm Lee got mixed up with his husband; who is called Winston too. (coincidentally)
5. Guess what? It's HOLS!

Taking bus 8 from my house to TPJC and vice versa is easy and convenience for me. But, going home from TPJC by Bus 8, I need to stop at the temasek poly bus-stop, and cross to the opposite side through the overhead bridge. I will always see different kinds of poly students(i mean their behaviours, not their apperance). Some of them even smoke at the bottom of the stairs. I dont think they are old enough to smoke; even if they are, its really bad for health. Once, when a TPJCian girl and I went through the overhead bridge, a guy shouted at the girl & me "JC so what?" Another time, just previous days ago, i walked past the void deck. A gang was gathering around the table. And 1 guy said "JC stUDENT SUCKS!" So loudly! I dont understand what is the problem with them. Honestly, it is an individual problem, but it gives me an impression that poly students are like that.
